A hectic lifestyle had left father-of-four Todd feeling lethargic and burnt-out.

As the executive of a thriving real estate firm juggling family life, Todd was struggling to find time for himself.

Beginning his transformation journey at Ultimate Performance with a degree of scepticism, Todd quickly grew to realise that the results photos on the wall of the gym were more than just a pipe-dream.

After noticing changes after just two weeks, Todd has gone from self-conscious and unmotivated, to confident and happy.

“If I had to compare U.P. to anything, I’d compare it to my family. My most valued and treasured part of my life. They’re my council when I need them, they help me to achieve my goals.”

Prior to his transformation at U.P., Todd found it impossible to make time for the gym. With a business and a family to balance, his physical health began to decline along with his self-esteem. A poor sleep schedule left him struggling to find the energy to make it through each day.

“I’m a Type A personality, so I’ve always placed my priorities onto my career, my family and friends. However, I didn’t put my health as a priority.”

“In my earlier days, I was an athlete, so I was in the gym a lot. Once I got my job, I spent less time exercising, then as my family grew it ate away at any time I was able to spend in the gym.

“My confidence was going down and I didn’t feel comfortable in my own skin. I needed to make a change.”

A less-than-perfect diet, lacking in structure or any healthy, nutritious food groups, meant that Todd’s weight eventually began to creep up. As somebody that had previously been very active, it took a huge toll on his self-confidence.

“I had the ultimate dad bod. 

“I was lethargic before I started U.P., I could see a lack in my performance. 

“I had recently purchased a home with my family that had a pool, and I realised that I was uncomfortable taking my shirt off around friends.” 

When Todd first joined the U.P. family, he was uncertain as to what to expect. With the walls plastered with ‘before and after’ photos of lean, muscular clients, he didn’t think it was possible to achieve a similar result.

“I was a sceptic when I first came to U.P. I didn’t believe the photos on the wall and thought they were photoshopped. My experience, to be honest, is outstanding. 

“I started to notice results within two weeks. I had a little more energy and excitement. I went from waking up and thinking I had to get through another day, to being excited.” 

Reassured by the comforting atmosphere that the clients and other trainers provided, Todd began to settle into his workout routines. Determined to wave goodbye to his ‘dad-bod’, Todd jumped into weight training.

“I’ve been able to go and deadlift 400lbs (181 kg). Being able to lift heavy weights is very exciting. 

“My trainer has taught me along the way, I understand why I’m doing everything.” 

The constant support and guidance from his PT proved to be invaluable. With his body rapidly transforming, his family and friends couldn’t believe the results. After joining the U.P. program to kick-start his fitness journey, Todd soon realised that the process was something he needed in his everyday life.

“Physically, I can see abs, that was a big thing I wanted.

“My cousin told me I looked like a UFC fighter.”

“My friends are absolutely shocked when they see me. They don’t recognise me.

“I’d 100% recommend U.P. I found it to be a transformational experience. I wanted a jump-start that I could use to get me going and then move off on my own, but I want to incorporate U.P. into my normal routine.”

One of the main takeaways from Todd’s experience has been discovering how much he is capable of. With the help of his trainer, he now realises that being spurred on is the true key to unlocking his potential. Armed with a new-found knowledge of nutrition, Todd is brimming with enthusiasm for the future.

“There’s a significant difference in my energy levels and focus. I was really getting to a point where I was unhappy, but now I’m ready to attack every day.”

And for the other sceptics out there, Todd had only one thing to say:

“To people saying the results aren’t possible, I’d probably look them right in the eye and take my shirt off.”
